Biography

I grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in the Humanities at Florida State University. I also studied in FSU's ethnomusicology department, earning a certificate in world music. While an undergrad, I self-produced/released an electronic music album using a freeware music program, and selections from the album have been featured at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and MIDEM in Cannes, France.

After undergraduate school I worked in Texas for USAA, an outstanding financial services company that serves the United States military. After two excellent years there, I decided that I would like to advance further in a communications-oriented career. Thus, I left USAA to pursue graduate studies at Clemson University. While a graduate student, I worked in Clemson's Multimedia Authoring, Teaching, and Research Facility and assisted in the planning and execution of a wide variety of web/print/visual projects for internal and external clients. I also instructed several university composition courses, and completed my Master's degree in communications in 2009.

My core competencies:

I currently work as a communication & information specialist in the Austin, Texas area. I'm available for consulting and freelance projects.
